Storytelling That Inspires

“the state of forming a complete and pleasing whole”
Bottom line, I’m a writer who loves telling stories, and I work really hard to make them so entertaining that viewers won’t look away and readers won’t put down the page. I’m a playwright, but I also write essays, novels, and scripts. I love beaming light in dark places, but I’m not afraid to confront difficult subjects. I work in the intersection of love+inspiration+activism+art.

I have a B.A., from UCLA, and an MFA (playwriting) also from the University of California. I’ve written several pilot TV scripts, a feature film script, four plays, 3 novels, 2 e-books, and many essays. For years, I facilitated SHOUT (Shine, Hope, Overcome, Use Your Power & Take Charge) inspirational seminars.

Out-of-Bounds, which was inspired by a script selected as a top 10 script out of 175 scripts in UCLA Film School’s Samuel Goldwyn contest, is an exciting, nuanced family story that I love sharing.

I always pray that my work inspires unity in the self (acceptance, alignment with purpose, and courage to share one’s gifts) and in the world (increased understanding of the complexities of humanity and love of people of all colors).

My family — three sons, hubby, and two dogs — are my joy. I’m a blessed lady, and it’s an honor that you’re reading this page and considering my work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love meeting new people and forming new, creative partnerships. Maybe one day we’ll get to create magic together.
